Maryland Defense Business & Industry Roundtable: A Resounding Success
Riverdale, MD - March 28, 2025 – Today’s Maryland Defense
Business & Industry Roundtable was a resounding success, bringing
together Congressman Glenn Ivey (MD-4), representatives from the
Department of Defense, Maryland Small Business Programs, and
APEX Accelerator business clients. The event provided an invaluable
platform for discussion, networking, and exploring business
opportunities within the government contracting space.

With over 30 Maryland-based small businesses in attendance, the
roundtable highlighted the importance of collaboration between
government agencies and the private sector. Participants engaged in
insightful discussions on strengthening government-industry
partnerships and expanding business development opportunities
both locally and nationally.

“We are thrilled with the turnout and the level of engagement from
all participants. This event reinforced the incredible potential for
Maryland’s small businesses to thrive in the government contracting
arena. The conversations we had today will undoubtedly help shape
future initiatives and partnerships,” said Yasmin Razaq, event organizer, Maryland APEX
Accelerator.

The roundtable featured a Q&A session where businesses had the opportunity to address key challenges, learn from the experiences of fellow APEX Accelerator clients, and hear directly from government representatives about upcoming opportunities. Congressman Ivey emphasized his commitment to supporting small businesses and ensuring they have access to the resources needed for success.
