About
The Maryland APEX Accelerator opened its doors in 2002 to expand the number of businesses capable of participating in government contracting. The APEX Accelerator Center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense. In 2022, the program was moved under the management of the Department of Defense (DOD) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). We achieve our mission by:
- Providing businesses with an understanding of the requirements of government contracting and the market know-how they need to obtain and successfully perform federal, state, and local government contracts.
- Supporting government agencies in reaching and working with the suppliers they need.

The Maryland APEX Accelerator has its headquarters* in College Park, MD, but we are located at three other locations to assist all Maryland-based small businesses in their contracting efforts. Register for no-cost one-on-one counseling here. Once you are registered, a counselor will contact you within 30 business days.
